Who can take the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Course
The PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Course is an essential rating for every PADI Dive Instructor in order to independently certify Rescue Divers. It is also a prerequisite to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.
PADI Divemasters and Assistant Instructors are eligible to participate in the EFR Instructor training and can independently issue EFR certifications.
Pre-requisites to do the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Course you must be an Emergency First Responder or equivalent CPR and First Aid and Secondary Care certification from another qualifying organization.
About the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Course
You will gain experience in how to structure and organize the EFR Program, the requirements of performance-based training and your role as the EFR Instructor when teaching the following:
- First Aid Primary and Secondary Care for Adults, Children and Infants.
- CPR Training for Adults, Children and Infants
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
By creating a positive learning environment you will present course content whilst motivating and encouraging self-discovery in individual candidates and evaluating student knowledge and understanding. During hands-on practice students will become proficient in developing individual skills.
