As the PADI Divemaster Course is a diving internship that can be completed in 4 weeks or more you will have access to unlimited diving and use of all equipment including compasses and computers throughout your training.

DM DivingFortunately Koh Tao offers an environment that enables diving on a daily basis all year round thereby providing the opportunity for candidates to dive morning, afternoons and evenings to obtain the required 60 dives to compete their training. Alongside, the flexibility of the program provided by instructors and number of students that come to Koh Tao to learn to dive, it also offers the chance for Divemaster candidates to assist on courses and learn how to deal with real life diving situations.

Medical Statement signed by a physician for dive fitness clearance available on the island for 250 Thai Baht and or can be completed prior to arrival by your own physician.

During the PADI Divemaster program we do not include accommodation however, we can suggest options that are suitable to your budget. Average monthly rates for accommodation vary from 6000 to 15,000 Thai Baht per month depending on the amenities.

Accommodation Options

On arrival we can offer you a free night of accommodation to orientate you to the dive centre and island, and give you the opportunity to check out the options that will suit you.


When you first arrive on the island we can arrange a pick up from the pier to the resort at no additional cost.  Once you have settled you may want to rent your own motorbike to explore the island. Cost for the month is an average of 2500 Thai Baht.

Visa Requirements:

Due to the current visa changes in Thailand we suggest you contact the Thai Consulate or Embassy in your country and apply for the Tourist Visa.  This should let you stay for 2 months within Thailand on arrival and then you can extend for an additional month on the neighbouring island – Koh Samui.
By applying for this visa will avoid the monthly boarder runs to Malaysia and or Burma.
