Introducing... the PADI Skill Circuit.

During the PADI Divemaster and Instructor courses, candidates learn to demonstrate many scuba skills. 20 of them are regrouped in Divemaster Skills Evaluation Workshop, also known as the Skill Circuit.

For the next 2 months, we are going to release a skill demonstration video on our YouTube Channel, every other day. These demonstrations are performed by Platinum Course Directors Natalie Hunt and Guillaume Fargues.

And we begin with... the C.E.S.A.!

The Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent (C.E.S.A.) is always recognized as one of the most important skills that is taught in the PADI system of education. You use it to ascend safely if you are out of air, shallower than 10 meters (30 feet) and cannot get help.

It is also a skill that has many critical attributes and requires a detailed demonstration. When practiced in confined water, this ascent is simulated horizontally.
Most candidates will be asked to demonstrate this in confined water, during the PADI Instructor Examination.

Thoughts from Our Past Students

  • I did my PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) at Ban‘s Dive school with Natalie Hunt and Guillaume Fargues on Koh Tao. Their huge Knowledge and Experience in conducting IDC Courses made it easy to learn a lot and enjoy the very practical Lectures and Workshops. We learned a lot about Dive Theory and Practice on a very professional Level with main focus on how to teach and conduct Dive Courses on our own. During our IDC we had a lot of fun and enjoyed Read More
